I’m thinking about removing the nasal tip material. It has been 4 days since surgery, and I had functional nose surgery + cosmetic surgery. I also said I didn’t want anything put into the nasal tip. So the plan was to proceed with hump reduction + osteotomy + nasal tip cartilage tying, but when I woke up from sedation anesthesia, I was told they had used ear cartilage and septal cartilage as support. The anxiety that something had been put into my nose, anxiety about side effects, and so many other burdens all hit me. I’ve been crying since the first day after surgery. They say it could collapse if removed, but has anyone had early removal? They said they put in a little more on purpose because the nasal tip may droop later and I might regret it… For me, it’s not a shape issue; I’m scared that the nasal tip was raised and cartilage was used, so I’m considering removal. I’m so scared that I’ll have to keep being careful going forward too.
