I’ll write my nose review first. If you look at my side profile, you can probably tell why my nickname was Piglet.. It’s usually a nickname people get when their nose surgery goes wrong and the nose ends up short and upturned, but in my case my natural nose was short and upturned, so my image looked very youthful.. but not exactly pretty? I was in an awkward position.. So the look I wanted was the complete opposite of my original nose: some length, somewhere between a straight line and a straight-with-slight-curve line. When I’d tell my friends, “I’m going to get nose surgery, and I want it to look like this~,” most of them would ask, “So is it straight or straight-with-slight-curve?” Even after showing them several photos, none of them had the exact line I wanted.. But even as the person getting it, it was hard for me to pinpoint and say exactly what line it was I could clearly imagine it in my head.. I guess it’s because I’m not good at putting things into words lololol When I went around for consultations, some people couldn’t quite catch what I meant, while some directors did get the feel of it. I chose the clinic based on these standards: a director who understood the vibe + a place whose surgical review photos were closest to the line I wanted + a place with a lot of experience. Seeing the photos, everyone probably gets exactly what I was trying to say now lol A line with some height between the eyes but still moderate, with just a very slight curve, somewhere between straight and straight-with-slight-curve!! First of all, I’m grateful to the director who understood me perfectly even when I explained it terribly. On the day of surgery, I went in about an hour early, had a brief consultation, and did the design. I thought I’d be hungry because I went in fasting, but I was so nervous that I had no room to even feel hunger... And once I got home, I immediately passed out asleep. I heard some people can’t sleep well because of pain, but I’d been so tired lately that I fell asleep like I’d been hit with a tranquilizer dart. Day of surgery to day 7 It was hard to breathe, and on the day of surgery I could taste a little blood in my mouth. Fortunately, I didn’t have any nausea or dizziness from the anesthesia, and I lay down in the recovery room long enough until I fully woke up before going home. Going home alone was totally doable. The swelling peaked on day 3 and then gradually went down. The first 3 days were exactly the hard part, and during that time it’s good to sleep with a humidifier on. I wet a handkerchief with water and slept with it around my neck, and in the beginning I tried to sleep sitting up. 2 weeks to 1 month This is a sudden jump, but makeup becomes possible. In week 2, I had both the inner and outer stitches removed and tried putting on makeup. Because my nose had suddenly become higher, it felt awkward for me to look at my face, but it didn’t feel like, “Wow, whoa, my nose is insanely high.” Once the swelling peak passed, I could really feel it going down quickly, and by the 1-month mark, unless someone was paying close attention to my face, they couldn’t tell I’d had nose surgery lololol For my eyes, I also had non-incisional ptosis correction done together when I got my nose done. Honestly, I already had double eyelids, so I had no intention of touching my eyes, but I had often heard that I looked sleepy and tired. Since I was already there for the consultation, I asked about it, and they said I didn’t need double-eyelid surgery, and that if they just slightly did ptosis correction, my eyes could look clearer and the blank, sleepy look could disappear, so I got it done together. What’s really amazing is that they only did ptosis correction, but my eyes look much bigger... seriously amazing... I unintentionally brought before and after photos as no-makeup vs makeup photos, but even after removing makeup it’s the same, and my eyes got about 1.5 times bigger lololol I’m satisfied because my eyes could get bigger without major swelling or a recovery period like double-eyelid surgery. This is something I had written in my notes, and even though I usually give up after three days, I carefully wrote everything down until the 1-month mark to share with everyone here hehe The minor swelling still needs to go down a little more from here, but both my eyes and nose turned out refined, so I’m satisfied. But after reading this, I don’t recommend suddenly getting tempted and looking for clinics right away. I also thought very carefully over and over before getting it done, and I put in a lot of effort researching online and in person before doing it, so don’t rush into it until you find a clinic that suits you;;
