Finally... after countless worries, I did it.... There aren’t many reviews of cheekbone reduction surgery / one facial contouring procedure, so I’m going to write this as a record haha I had surgery on Saturday morning, and right now I’m very swollen..! First, for my surgery review, since I had been thinking about it for over 8 years since my early 20s, honestly I feel so relieved. I guess I’m happy to be free from all those tiring worries and concerns... All this time, because of my cheekbones, I couldn’t even style my hair the way I wanted, and I was really stressed every time I took photos. I don’t know how the progress will turn out yet, but for now, I just feel relieved... I saw a lot of reviews from other people saying they regretted doing it because it hurt, but for me, that long period of worrying was actually harder. Also, as soon as the surgery ended and I woke up from anesthesia, maybe because I only had one procedure, I don’t know, but I had seen so many reviews about throat pain/thirst. For me, the nausea/feeling like I was going to throw up was much worse, so it was really hard. I’m naturally on the thinner side and tend to get motion sickness and things like that, so maybe that’s why, but the nausea was really hard for me The throat pain was just about the level of COVID or a bad cold, and because I felt nauseous, I kept dry-heaving, kept having something like stomach burps?, had bloody phlegm, and was in that kind of state. Honestly, the pain itself wasn’t that bad... It hurt less than wisdom teeth. For me maybe just stiffness? Please keep in mind it may be because I only had one procedure! I also had a hair transplant a long time ago, and the time I did it with an incision hurt much more, for me.. The nausea was stronger than I expected, so that was hard for me, and because of that I kept lying down feeling nauseous, then getting up and feeling nauseous, repeating that state,,, I felt nauseous on the way home too,,, and after getting home, I couldn’t even eat porridge, but I had to take medicine, and because I felt nauseous and like I would vomit I couldn’t eat anything, and only around 9 p.m. did I eat 3 spoonfuls of porridge and take my medicine And right now, the biggest difficult things are that I can’t open my mouth + it’s hard to talk because of phlegm in my nose and throat + the compression band is uncomfortable. These three are the most difficult, and there’s almost no pain... Even porridge barely goes in with a small spoon, and since the amount is small, I keep getting hungry... I have no appetite, but my stomach is hungry, not much goes in, and because of the anesthesia, I can’t taste well, like with COVID,,, For me, the aftereffects of anesthesia were much harder than the pain. Until this morning, I was struggling because of nausea, but now it seems to be getting a bit better... There is quite a lot of swelling, but it definitely seems less than with three procedures. Also, I don’t think I saw this much in other reviews, but because of the anesthesia, on the day of surgery I felt like I had to urinate so badly, but whenever I went to the bathroom, only a little came out, and like cystitis, I kept feeling like there was urine left, and I kept going several times within less than an hour, so the first night was a bit hard. I spat out bloody phlegm frequently. For now, I feel like if I just endure one week, all the suffering will get better, so I’m trying hard to hang in there... I’m hungry... I want to eat rice It doesn’t even have to be anything hard, I just want to eat rice, sob... Now that I’ve had the surgery, I just hope the progress turns out well Since I made such a difficult choice, I hope it turns out pretty and well, without side effects... I’m praying. I feel relieved, and I’m curious how the progress will be I hope this review helps even a little! I’ll bring another review next time too! If you have anything you’re curious about, please leave a comment and I’ll answer.
