Goodbye rhinitis, hump, and wide nose tip~~!

I had rhinitis and a nasal hump, and my nose tip would spread when I smiled, so I spent years just wondering whether I should get my nose done or not. Then I heard that a coworker had gotten rhinoplasty. When I saw her nose, which looked natural but slim and defined, I felt like this was something I had to do. I was looking for a place where the head doctor was a nose specialist and also good with functional aspects, and this place fit exactly what I wanted. The consultation went in the order of consultant > director > consultant, and I liked that it proceeded right away without waiting. While talking with the director about what I wanted, I felt confident that I could have a natural yet pretty nose, so I booked the surgery right away. Then came the nervous day of surgery..! I liked that right before the surgery, I had another consultation with the director and we talked once more about the look I wanted before proceeding. I think the surgery took about 2 hours? The anesthesia wore off early too, but there was almost no pain, and the only difference was that I had a splint on. After I was discharged and evening came, blood started flowing and swelling came up, and only then did it hit me: ah, I really had surgery. The cotton placed inside my nose was truly the worst. There was no pain, but my breathing was completely blocked. Since I had to breathe through my mouth, I kept waking up every hour, so it was painful. I realized, ah, this is why rhinoplasty is hard. Two days later, after the cotton was removed, I experienced a whole new world. People with rhinitis will know. You want to breathe deeply through your nose, as deeply as possible if you can..! I actually got to feel that!! I thought the pain before had all been for this. I was so glad I had the surgery, and thought a hundred, a thousand times that I made the right choice. The splint was removed on day 5, and the bruising was faint and yellowish, so it could be covered with foundation and I went to work without much trouble. Aside from tearing up a little when the stitches were removed at week 1, there was no pain afterward. To reduce swelling, I went for walks whenever I had time and drank pumpkin juice. Now that 3 months have passed, I’ve moved past the Avatar nose phase and am seeing a natural-looking nose. They say it takes quite a long time for nasal swelling to go down completely, so I’m curious what it will look like after 6 months. If you’re thinking about surgery because of the same concerns I had, I’d like to recommend doing it without hesitation.
