From the time of my surgical consultation, I kept saying that I wanted it to look natural but still have a clear before-and-after difference. My concern was that my eyes looked stuffy, but I absolutely didn’t want them opened up excessively and looking artificial. After surgery, the swelling steadily went down until about the one-month mark, and then it settled beautifully into exactly the look I wanted! At first, there was a slightly swollen feeling, but major swelling or bruising wasn’t severe, and I could feel my eyes gradually becoming more defined over time. Most of all, I had almost no eye irritation or pain during the recovery period. Maybe because they didn’t open my eyes excessively and designed them naturally to suit my eyes, I had no discomfort at all in daily life, and it looks so natural that sometimes I even forget I had lateral canthoplasty and lowering canthoplasty. I’m now 5 months post-op, and my eyes definitely look longer horizontally, and as the stuffy feeling at the outer corners has been cleaned up, my overall impression has become much softer. But it doesn’t look like, “Anyone can tell I had surgery” at all. It just feels like my eyes look more open? Like I naturally became prettier. I’m much more satisfied when taking photos than before, and I especially like that doing winged eyeliner is more fun now For people like me who value a natural look, I really think the combination of lateral canthoplasty + lowering canthoplasty is a surgery with very high satisfaction. Now it has settled completely like my own eyes, so I feel even more proud for no reason.
