For years after cheekbone surgery, I lived thinking this was swelling, but my cheekbones looked like they were protruding, so I ended up getting revision surgery consultations. Before surgery, my face was smooth, but I got greedy because I wanted to reduce the horizontal width, and in the end there was no effect. They’re supposed to shave or fracture the cheekbone, push it inward, and fix it with pins, but looking at the CT, there were only signs that the cheekbone had been fractured, and it had not been pushed in at all. It hadn’t been moved and was just hanging there as it was Since there was no fixation, of course... So I wonder if this bone is using the joint trying to support itself, my poor broken cheekbone working so hard After surgery, it became hard to open my mouth and my temporomandibular joint started making sounds. As expected, the joint had weakened, and some hospitals even said revision surgery was not possible. There was no effect at all on the side cheekbones or 45-degree cheekbones, and only the line became uneven. For the chin tip too, they stopped halfway while shaving one side, so on CT the bone shape suddenly protrudes sharply... What on earth were they thinking while operating? When I go for cheekbone revision consultations, I even get asked whether I had the pins removed, or whether I didn’t have 45-degree or side cheekbone surgery At one hospital, they looked at my CT and immediately recognized it, saying, “Ah, this is that hospital,” so I asked how they knew, and they said it’s characteristic of that hospital’s patients... They said lots of people had surgery like this, had no results, and came for revision consultations...
