Finally, some time has passed since my nose surgery, and now it actually looks like a human nose!! Before surgery, my nose had everything bad packed into it: a seriously bulbous nose, a short nose, and even an upturned nose, so the stress was no joke lol. It’s not like I had no nasal bridge at all, but because my nasal tip was thick and turned up, every time I looked at my face it looked so unsophisticated, so I went around for consultations and got my first nose surgery with donated costal cartilage from Director Kim Dae-hwa at ㅇㅇㄷ haha. Honestly, since it was my first surgery, I worried a bit about the material, but my nose was so short and the bulbous nose was severe, so I needed a support structure that would firmly hold the nasal tip~~ The director said that if we used donated costal cartilage, it would be stronger than septal cartilage, so there would be less worry about the nasal tip dropping, and it would be good for shaping the line, so I went ahead with it lol. Since donated costal cartilage was used, the nasal tip height and angle definitely feel fixed the way I wanted, so I think the line turned out well!! In the early days after surgery, because of the cotton packing I had to breathe through my mouth and my throat felt completely dried out, and the area where the donated costal cartilage was used felt stiff and sore, so I thought I could never do this again, but time really does seem to be the cure haha. Now the swelling has gone down a lot and the line has settled properly, so I end up forgetting all that hardship lol. Now the nasal tip is moderately and naturally raised, and the nasal bridge line also seems to have settled into exactly the refined-yet-natural feel I wanted!! Compared to before, the upturned-nose look is completely different too Seeing how much slimmer my bulbous nose has become is honestly amazing haha. I hope it just stays like this from now on lol. Even though it was a bit tough, every time I look in the mirror, all I can think is that I’m glad I did it~~
