I’m someone who thought about nose surgery for over 6 years. I never took surgery lightly, and if I saw side effects and felt my mind wavering, I immediately gave up the idea of getting rhinoplasty... After living with thoughts of surgery for 6 years like that, at some point my mind became steady enough that even when I saw side effects, I thought, “Ah, it’s okay.” I wanted to properly correct my wide nasal bone structure and bulbous nose, and I went to consultations at over 20 places, focusing only on places whose reviews I liked and cases where the before-surgery nose was similar to mine. I found RU Plastic Surgery after looking through more than 7 communities and cafes, and I went for a consultation because I heard Director Kim Hyun-joo gives incredibly good consultations. It was more expensive than other places, but unlike elsewhere, everything that the consultant usually explains - the hospital’s strengths, the doctor’s strengths, the rhinoplasty process, and even the Q&A - was all handled by the doctor herself. That was my first reason for choosing it. She personally explained her own surgery, and very thoroughly explained how the parts I wanted would change, how much could realistically be achieved, and why certain things were impossible. At the hospital where I had only planned to “just get a consultation,” I ended up scheduling the surgery date right away before leaving. lol From the day of surgery, the swelling was clearly different from the swelling I had seen in many places. There was less swelling, and my rib area hurt, but from day 4-5, I was able to do all daily activities. During recovery, I got really scared about the shape and swelling and felt anxious too, but thanks to the consultant who answers me whenever needed, I’m working through my post-rhinoplasty anxiety well. My very wide nasal bridge became moderately narrower just as I requested, and the bulbous nasal tip/alar area has clearly become prettier too. I’m also satisfied with the nasal bridge line that suits my face shape^^
