It’s already been 4 months since my rhinoplasty. I feel like time really didn’t pass during the first month. After the major swelling went down somewhat and I got used to the discomfort, time went by really fast after that. Since my nose was on the short side, I had short nose rhinoplasty and columellar lengthening together at the clinic. It was my first surgery, but donor costal cartilage was also used for the nasal tip! When the splint was first removed, it looked so high that I wondered if this was right, but it turned out to be swelling. After about a month, a lot of the major swelling had gone down, so from the second month onward, I think I felt less self-conscious going out. I went out diligently during the winter, and I think almost all the residual swelling has gone down too. I like the current line because it looks like the refined, glamorous straight-to-slightly-curved nose I wanted🫶 I’m uploading a few selfies I took during that time! The pre-surgery photo is bare-faced, and the selfies only have skin retouching after makeup, so please take that into account and just look at the nose shape🥹
