I had surgery with the buried-suture method 7 years ago, but the double eyelid on my right eye came undone, and my eye-opening strength had become much weaker, so I decided to have revision surgery to correct this. After deciding on surgery, I went to consultations at about 7 places, and Director Jang Jun-young at Eiting examined me the most thoroughly and for the longest time. He even picked up on all the discomforts I usually felt without me having to mention them separately, so I trusted him and left the surgery to him.
My right eye itself is more sunken, and it also has more fat, so structurally the double eyelid was bound to come undone more easily compared with the left. After figuring all of that out, he also removed fat and set the double-eyelid line itself a bit higher to correct the asymmetry between my eyes! After surgery, maybe because the left side was operated along the original line, the swelling went down extremely well, but the right side was slower in comparison, so I was a little worried. Since the director had told me about this in advance, I trusted him and waited. It has been about 7-8 weeks now, and the difference between the double-eyelid lines is no longer very noticeable.
I usually do not wear much makeup, so it was hard to cover the asymmetry between my eyes, but after surgery it is so convenient haha. Since I no longer unconsciously try to open my eyes wide, my eyes feel comfortable too!
What I was most worried about was incisional surgery. I felt very burdened by the idea of making an incision, but after trusting Director Jang Jun-young and going through with it, I actually had much less bruising and swelling than when I had surgery with the buried-suture method. Thanks to that, I was able to break my prejudice that incision = sausage eyelids! Thank you!
I had told him that I wanted my eyes to become rounder, and they really did become rounder haha. They also look more defined, so I am satisfied!
