2-week review of autologous costal cartilage rhinoplasty at RU

My usual complex was that my nose was small, short, and low, and my nostrils looked horizontally long and very visible from the front! I hoped my existing indistinct facial features would change into a more refined image! When I first looked into hospitals specializing in rhinoplasty, the things I considered important were: is it a one-doctor clinic? Is there an anesthesiology specialist? Is the aftercare good? + Of course, whether it matched the look I was going for! A nose that was too slim with an overly pointed tip did not match the look I wanted, and I really liked the line where the nasal tip comes out round and soft. I also thought it would suit my face well! The rhinoplasty I had at RU was done with silicone for the nasal bridge + autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip + bulbous nose correction! In my case, I had almost no swelling or bruising, so there was nothing particularly difficult during recovery! I had heard a lot that autologous costal cartilage is painful, and it did feel a bit tight and painful only on the day of surgery, but from the next day onward it was fine! For aftercare, the director personally checks on you and takes good care of whether you have any questions or discomfort! Director Kim Hyun-joo and the staff are also kind and paid a lot of attention to me, so I really liked that! I’m currently at week 2, and the straight-with-a-slight-curve line I wanted and the columella have turned out nicely, and the nasolabial angle has also been corrected, so the feeling that my mouth looked protruded has disappeared! I also like that my nostrils are less visible from the front haha. They say nasal tip swelling goes down last, so I’m looking forward to it even more haha
