Specs: height 160, weight 51~52, breast base 12, rib cage 71, Motiva Demi Q 340 cc First of all, my rib cage is not especially narrow for my height, and my waist is not particularly slim either:D
- Day of surgery On the day of surgery, I arrived at the hospital thinking, “Am I really doing this...? Am I doing it?” My surgery was scheduled for 12:30, but the patient before me was having revision surgery, so it took a little longer. It got pushed back a bit, but it was only about 30 minutes, I think..? The doctor did the design and checked the size again, and I was debating between Motiva Demi 320 and 340. When I said that if 340 was possible, I wanted to do it, the doctor said if the 340 looked like rice bowls, he would put in 320, so I said okay! But more than capsular contracture or pain, I was so scared of general anesthesia What if I don’t wake up? I kept thinking.... I have an elementary school child at home, and since it was vacation, my husband was going to take care of the child and come pick me up after surgery I breastfed for about 5~6 months, and they say breast tissue changes after breastfeeding, but the doctor said mine had not changed much, (maybe because I had my child at a young age? I wondered..) Anyway, I decided to get the breast surgery I had wanted since my 20s, and ended up doing it in my mid-30s.. The anesthesiologist came and said, “The anesthetic is going in,” then my vision got blurry.... and I fell asleep right away. Then suddenly they were waking me up~ Huh? It’s already over? I thought, and got up.. Everyone said their throat hurt, but for me it felt more dry than painful, and I didn’t think, “I want to drink water!!” (I normally don’t drink much water either..^^ so fasting wasn’t hard) I rested for about 30 minutes, and thought, what is this? I’m not in pain and I’m okay? At this rate I could take the train home by myself? But my husband said he called the hospital, heard that I was coming out, and left right away. After resting for 30 minutes, he said he was almost there, so I told the hospital and came out, and the nurse was surprised, saying, “You’re leaving already? ㅇ_ㅇ”.... My husband came, we said I seemed okay to go, stopped by the pharmacy, picked up the medicine, and came home. It overlapped with rush hour, so even though it was Gyeonggi-do, it took 2 hours to get home I had no discomfort the whole way back. It just felt like something was placed on my chest? Honestly, if it were just office work typing on a keyboard, I think I could go to work.
- Day 2 Swelling started to appear. My hair started getting greasy.. I tried washing my hair by myself and managed it without much trouble (using the hair dryer wasn’t hard either). The compression garment they gave me was a little loose and comfortable on the day of surgery, but now I’m swollen so it feels packed tight, and the straps dig in and feel uncomfortable I don’t feel my body is swollen, but my weight went up +2 kg. Even though I fasted, ate very little, and slept, it still went up,, I was shocked. I have no appetite either, and I’m not hungry.. If I eat, I can get food down, but I’m not making an effort to eat. I tried sleeping propped up while sitting, but I really couldn’t sleep. My lower back hurt so much. Rather than my breasts, I guess my back felt stiff.. If I sat up, my lower back hurt too, so in the end I slept lying down.. Slightly elevated, just a tiny bit? I slept well..
- Day 3 So far, total weight gain is 3 kg. My abdomen feels slightly swollen, and my calves feel a bit heavy? I’m slowly doing housework too.. folding laundry and things like that. Staying still made my back sore too, so moving around was actually better, so I moved little by little. The fine dust was terrible, so I walked 10,000 steps at home over the day. Sleeping is still uncomfortable. My chest feels pressed down. But it is better than sleeping sitting up, so I slept lying down.. Strangely, at night my breasts feel tight and clumped. It feels like when my breasts got engorged during breastfeeding, and that feeling is not very pleasant to me, so I feel bad.. Oh, since it was Lunar New Year, I went to the market and bought food. I needed to start walking slowly too, so I went with my husband and child and bought various things at the market. After walking a bit, my breasts started feeling stiff..
- Day 4 When I wake up in the morning, my breasts are so tight I hate this feeling so much because it is exactly the same as when I was breastfeeding. And sometimes there is a burning sensation, and sometimes it throbs. It does not hurt continuously, so daily life is fine. Today my husband and child went to my in-laws’, so I went to the mall for a walk and some shopping. I had a simple meal there and walked around. Sometimes it throbbed and stabbed once in a while, but other than that, not much.. I wiped my upper body with body wipes, washed my hair, and showered my lower body.. I felt so sticky and gross. Since the day of surgery, I’ve been doing it every other day, but I’m dying to do it every day Honestly, I could shower with waterproof tape on, but I’m not confident enough to take it off and look (I’m secretly a scaredy-cat..) I’m not even looking at my armpits at all.. On the first day, the texture was actually soft, but it is gradually getting tighter. Once the texture loosens, I think it will get really soft. The first-day feeling was good.. Actually, texture was my top priority, so I wanted Mentor Xtra, but because I have a pigeon chest, Motiva was recommended to me a lot, so I went with Motiva. It’s still tight, but I’m expecting it to get even softer than that soft feeling on the first day~ On the 19th (one week post-op), I go to the hospital and take off the compression garment, and I want to take it off quickly. It’s so suffocating. Even just loosening the upper band makes it feel livable
**But is it normal for the breasts to keep swelling more and more? Or are they supposed to gradually go down as the swelling subsides? Right now the size looks like loaves of bread so I can’t tell, but if it goes down more from here, I think I’ll be a bit disappointed-. To reduce swelling, I’m just taking pumpkin honey sticks and pumpkin tea from Coupang, and prune juice because of constipation Is it supposed to go down?
