I went for a nose surgery consultation. The hospital atmosphere was clean, and the staff response was decent. I went after making a reservation, but the waiting time was quite long, so it was a bit boring. Still, once the consultation started, the doctor kindly explained things well. I went in thinking about a closed rhinoplasty, but they recommended an open rhinoplasty. I could understand the recommendation itself, but it was a bit disappointing because there wasn’t enough specific reasoning for why an open approach would be more suitable. I wanted to hear in detail what advantages an open approach would have based on my nasal structure, skin thickness, and desired shape, but I felt that explanation passed by somewhat quickly. Overall, they were kind and the atmosphere was fine, but not being able to hear a clear reason for recommending the open approach remained disappointing. The consultation itself wasn’t bad, but because it differed from the direction I wanted, the visit only made me think more deeply.
