Review of my third nose revision surgery is here~~~ (donated rib cartilage)
My first surgery was 15 years ago with ear cartilage + silicone, and then 5 or 6 years later I developed contracture, so maybe 7 or 8 years ago? I had my second revision surgery.
During the second revision surgery, I had the silicone completely removed + my own ear cartilage used + a little autologous dermis used. Because of the contracture, they thought my nose would have severe adhesions, so they used autologous dermis to compensate for the step-off on the nasal bridge and supported the nasal tip with ear cartilage! I lived pretty well, more or less satisfied with that nose (autologous dermis really does get absorbed so well over time…..) Then I completely forgot the pain of contracture again, and started badly missing the nasal bridge I used to have built up with silicone, so thoughts of nose surgery started creeping back in… sigh…
So I lived getting fillers and pretending I had a nasal bridge. Even then, my nose still looked quite pretty.
But then the filler spread, and that became a problem Because of the filler, I started looking like Avatar, and my nose actually got bulky. Even after dissolving it and getting it again, my nose kept looking lower and uglier!!!!
After giving birth, I was living while getting hit in the nose by my baby every day!!! Then one day, I got hit really hard and my nose bled! After that, my nose ached, the shape gradually changed… and my nasal tip felt like it was getting stranger and stranger? Like it had dropped a bit, as if it had collapsed????? My nose just got uglier, so my desire for nose surgery had become extremely, extremely strong!!!!!!!
(Turns out, when the director opened it up during surgery, my nasal cartilage had collapsed, he said Childcare really is hard^^)
So a few months before returning to work, I urgently decided to get nose surgery!
I went to consultations at as many as 8 places, and the director had this slightly chic but meticulous, dad-like feeling, which was totally my style…? Since I live outside Seoul, I needed to choose carefully, but this place was truly the best. And I liked that the consultant was genuinely kind and empathetic, so I decided on this place! I had booked somewhere else, canceled it, and immediately even paid the deposit here
(For reference, my needs were absolutely natural and suited to me! I absolutely hate the style where only the nasal tip is pulled sharply to a point!)
Director Kim Jin-sung really has godlike hands; you can tell from the before-and-after photos, but the nasal bridge line is… insane
The photo is from one month post-op, so there is some swelling, (and as I’m writing this, it’s been almost 3 months since surgery) I wanted a natural result, but compared with the one-month photo, so much swelling has gone down that now it’s actually so unnoticeable I feel a little disappointed!! People say I got prettier, but they don’t realize it was my nose, so I think, ah, maybe I should have gone for a naturally noticeable look, and I feel a bit regretful, but I’m still so satisfied I wish it had stopped at the one-month stage! And the director who did my surgery!!!!!!!! He said it was a difficult nose and that it was hard, and I figured it would be... Seriously, if anyone around me is getting revision surgery, I want to recommend this place to all of them. It got to the point where even my dad was amazed after seeing my surgery line.... He wasn’t even the one getting it done, but he asked for the hospital name and everything
