A tearful review of my third revision surgery!

This is a review of SCI surgery at a plastic surgery clinic. The surgery was performed through the outer ends of the eyes and the area under the outer ends of the eyebrows. The photos are in order: 2 bare-eye photos before surgery, bare eyes 1 month after surgery, bare eyes 8 months after surgery, and eyes with simple makeup 1 year after surgery. This was my third surgery. I have somewhat thick eyelids, and although slender eyes tend to have good results no matter what is done, I think eyes like mine are difficult to operate on naturally. This is the painful self-reflection I gained after going through a third surgery. My second surgery was 1 year before my third surgery, and it was a surgery where I made the big decision to move from buried sutures to incision, but it ended in a huge failure. I have so many regrets, wondering how good it would have been if I had known about this clinic at the time of my second surgery. I found out about this clinic while looking for a hospital that releases double eyelids. I just wanted to undo everything. I was someone who was satisfied with my original face, and I had the surgery in my 20s after being recommended it because opening my eyes felt tiring and heavy, so I went for a consultation feeling that if I was going to be this stressed, I would rather just undo it. The director told me about a surgery that might be suitable for my situation rather than a release surgery, and explained the eye structurally. The approach felt like improving the root cause, which was really my style, so I made a reservation right away. A third surgery was not in my life plans, so after returning home I really agonized over it a lot, but I liked the director’s perspective, so I proceeded with my third surgery 1 year after my second surgery. (The second surgery was after 7 years.) This is my review at exactly the 1-year point now, and in conclusion, I am satisfied. First of all, it is a bittersweet situation that I received feedback from my mom saying, “Now it finally looks a bit natural.” For my second surgery, I had the typical three-piece set of incision, epicanthoplasty, and eye-shape correction, and the outer end of my upper eyelid became hollow, so my condition had changed to making me look a bit older. There was definitely a change in the drooping of the outer eye area, and the hollowing of the upper eyelid also improved. The heaviness of the eyes did not improve 100%, but I think it improved to some extent. And this may be something only I feel, but I also liked that the director did not have strange chatter or private conversations with the nurse during surgery, and I liked that it felt like he was concentrating. In many ways, compared with the absurdly miserable eyes from my second surgery, the details have improved a little, so I am satisfied. It is also a surgery that helps prevent the eyes from drooping with age, so I feel I did well. I am not really the type to wear makeup, but even just drawing the line makes the atmosphere feel completely different, which is interesting. Since then, I have also been getting Botox at the same clinic and have been gradually taking care of my appearance. I will end my review hoping that my experience will help someone else.
