Last time, I wrote a day-1 review after my under-eye fat surgery at the clinic,,!! What I was most worried about after under-eye fat removal was bruising and swelling,,! (the sorrow of an office worker) I thought everyone would be curious, so I wanted to share my condition over the past week and the before/after,,,, haha,,
- Day 2 - I had red bruises right under both eyes..! There was also a slight red bruise above the inner corner of my left eye, but it wasn’t noticeable when my eyes were open! On the left side, I also had a purplish bruise underneath! Rather than bruising, it felt more like swelling, and I had a lot of eye discharge and felt warmth~ The hospital gave me an eye pack and told me to do cold compresses, so I kept~ applying cold compresses~ After doing cold compresses, by the afternoon the swelling went down and I felt much more comfortable~
- Day 3 - The bruise color became a bit lighter and it felt like it had spread a little wider~ (one stage down from the red bruise) A little blood was mixed into my eye discharge, but rather than ongoing bleeding, it felt like pooled blood was coming out together~ The overall swelling was similar and there was still warmth, but it was better than day 2! I continued doing cold compresses!
- Day 4 - Overall, the bruise color became even lighter, and only the yellow bruising area got wider! So even without wearing a hat, it wasn’t noticeable with just a mask! I had plans in the evening, so I went out wearing a hat + mask, but maybe I laughed too hard because the area under my eyes felt stiff,, When I washed my face before bed, it seemed like there was blood under my eye, so I worried that maybe a blood vessel had burst from laughing,, (Seeing that the bruising didn’t get worse, it seems the pooled blood naturally came out while I was laughing!) Overall, the swelling and warmth improved a lot, so I found myself not doing cold compresses anymore,, haha
- Day 5 - The bruising and swelling were similar to the day before~ There was no bloody eye discharge, but eye discharge kept forming, especially when I woke up in the morning..! Still, I had no discomfort usually! Daily life is possible, after all haha
- Day 6 - Finally, the bruising went down a lot!! My left eye still had a purplish bruise underneath, but on my right eye, all the dark-colored bruising was gone and only a yellow tint remained! I put DuoDERM on the purple area, avoided the eye area, covered it just slightly with cushion foundation, and went to work~ Maybe because the bruise area wasn’t wide, other people didn’t even think I had surgery haha,, Eye discharge still formed when I woke up, but usually it wasn’t uncomfortable~
- Week 1 [before & after] - The bruising around my eyes has definitely gone down more! The area where I need to apply DuoDERM has gotten smaller, and the color has also become lighter~ The areas of yellow bruising on both sides have also shrunk~ Until yesterday, I was still self-conscious, so I wore a mask to work, but today I went to work without a mask~ And the swelling has gone down noticeably~ Because it was swollen, I couldn’t really feel that the under-eye fat was gone, but oh!!! The bulging under my eyes had disappeared!!!! Seriously, when I look at the before photos, it felt like my aegyo-sal was on two levels,,,, but now it’s flat!!!!!! Honestly, over the past week, since I felt the delicacy and professionalism during the surgery,, I only had a vague expectation that it would get better, but once I reached day 7, the before and after are definitely noticeable!! I’m already satisfied, but I’m looking forward to seeing how it will look once all the bruising and swelling are gone haha The bruising was less severe than I expected, and I was impressed by how Director Moon Jung-hwan meticulously controlled the microbleeding,,,? I guess hemostasis really is important,,! He probably won’t see this, but I’d like to express my thanks.. Once the bruising is all gone, I’ll leave another follow-up review~
