~~~My revision surgery chronicle~~~ For reference, this was my third eye surgery haha. My first surgery and revision were at the same place, and my second revision was done at a hospital specializing in eyes. The reason I started going around for consultations again even after revision surgery was that I disliked the double eyelids on both sides, but the right side was especially extreme; the middle part of the line was thick and uneven enough that the line looked almost triangular.. No matter how much I searched, I couldn't find anyone around me whose eyes ended up like mine, and I was so stressed because of my eyes that I kept looking into revision surgery even while working. When researching online, I looked not only at reviews on ㄱㄴㅇㄴ and ㅂㅂㅌ, but also posts on ㅅㄹㄷ about plastic surgery whenever I had time. Then I saw posts from Ollo about revision eye surgery, and since I thought they might be able to do the one-sided line lowering I wanted together with revision double eyelid surgery on both sides, I went in for a consultation. The consultation was really good. Even though both my first surgery and revision had been incisional, when I said the double eyelids were my biggest source of stress, the director explained the surgery in line with that concern. He said my eyes were not the type where fixation would be good just by doing an incision, and that we would do ptosis correction together to strengthen my eye-opening power, while correcting the mucous membrane on the right line and lowering the line. He said that was how the symmetry between both eyes could be matched. To be honest, I wanted non-incisional surgery.. but when I saw the director spend almost 15 minutes? or more explaining things to persuade(?) me, I changed my mind. Realistically, it was hard to have surgery right away (it was a really busy period at work), so I waited until I had time to take about a week off and then got the second revision surgery. One thing that felt different from my previous surgery was that early after surgery, I felt more of a pulling sensation in my eyes! (Because of this, I thought it had failed haha....) I felt the pulling more when my eyes were closed than when they were open, and it felt stronger after waking up. I think it stayed like that for about a week.. At the one-week mark, I had the stitches removed at the hospital, got a swelling laser treatment, and had the director check my progress. After that, I went straight back to work haha. As you can see in the photo, I had bruising around my eyes, but I couldn't not go to work, so I just went. At first, I wore black horn-rimmed glasses too, but they gradually became annoying and got in the way at work, so I just went around with bare eyes. Since I went without makeup, everyone said I looked terrible... Ugh, but even taking the bruising and swelling into account, the line itself looked much better than before. Until the 2-month mark, I didn't want to irritate my eyes by doing eye makeup for no reason, so I only wore base makeup! In the beginning, when I stared hard at the monitor sometimes, my eyes felt tired (but this happened before too.. haha...) After about a month, it got much better, so it seems the ptosis correction was done properly.. There is still a little residual swelling, and I also have a habit of trying to open my eyes wide, so I need to wait and see more, but the line that used to look strange has come down well, so I'm very satisfied haha. I think I did well to find a place that has done many difficult cases.
