I had incisional double eyelid surgery and lateral canthoplasty together at Winners Plastic Surgery 10 years ago. I didn’t have much eyelid skin, and even when I used double-eyelid glue, my eyes would turn out uneven, so I was honestly very worried. But even now, I still get told often that my eyes are pretty.
I didn’t have sedation anesthesia; I just got anesthetic injections around my eyes and had the incisional surgery, and it took less than an hour! After the lateral canthoplasty, they showed me the tissue they had removed, but over time the lateral canthoplasty completely closed back up. I don’t know if it was due to inexperience on the medical team’s part, but I developed a red scar that looks like a tear, so people who look closely at my eyes ask what the red thing at the outer corner is... You really need to research lateral canthoplasty carefully and have it done by someone who is good at it;;
The doctor really pursued a natural look, but less than a year after operating on me, they moved to another hospital, and now the clinic is gone. Sob. Maybe because I had it done a long time ago, for up to five years after the surgery, when I closed my eyes, I thought the line was visible or looked obvious. But even now the line is still well-defined, so I’ve been told a lot that my eyes are pretty. These days, techniques have improved, so there seems to be less swelling and results seem to come out prettier, so when I’m older, I want to have revision surgery hehe.
