Leaving a review of under-eye fat repositioning at TOBE Plastic Surgery. I'm male, and it's been exactly 2 weeks now. At this point, all the swelling has gone down.
I went to TOBE Plastic Surgery because my girlfriend's friend recommended it, saying they minimize the incision so there is less bleeding and less swelling, and it was good.
Right after surgery ~ 1 week - Swelling under the eyes, and tears come out often, so you have to wipe them - A lot of eye discharge builds up after waking up - I took the medication properly and used the prescribed eye drops about twice a day, and the frustrating tearing improved by day 7
1 week ~ 2 weeks after surgery - On day 7, there was slight swelling and a little yellow bruising - By day 10, there was no bruising or swelling at all - By day 14, the under-eye area had become firm, but it didn’t feel firm because of swelling; it looked natural
My tear troughs were quite hollow, so I looked tired and older, and that bothered me. I tried my first cosmetic surgery thinking it would be nice if it was just cleaned up neatly without looking excessive, rather than changing dramatically. Though it’s a bit ambiguous whether to even call this cosmetic surgery.
About 5 days after surgery, I briefly went to work. Maybe because I was wearing glasses, no one noticed I had surgery and they said, “Did you eat ramen and sleep yesterday? You look kind of swollen.” So I just honestly confessed that I had it done lol. Then people got even more curious, asking where I had it done and why there was no bruising or blood marks lol
Now exactly 2 weeks have passed, and it feels like I’m 100% recovered?
There’s almost no swelling now, and my girlfriend says my under-eye area looks firm, so she’s thinking about getting it too. If there are any men worried because of under-eye hollows or a tired-looking impression, I’d recommend it without being scared. You open and close your eyes, and it’s over,,
As long as you take the prescribed medication and use the eye drops properly, everything just recovers with time.
If you cover it moderately with glasses, going to work on day 5 is totally possible, and after a week, daily life is fine.. After 2 weeks, you can think of it as recovery with absolutely no visible signs.
