Nose Surgery Reviews

I was considering nose surgery because of rhinitis, and ended up getting functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty together at a clinic

My nasal congestion was originally pretty severe, and one side always felt blocked, so it was uncomfortable. When I took photos, I kept noticing that my nose looked short and upturned, too. Since I’m a man, I didn’t want only my nose to stand out, so I just lived with it, but this time I decided to do both the functional and cosmetic parts together. While mainly looking into functional rhinoplasty, I found GNG Hospital and had a consultation with Director Lee Sung-hoon. For the upturned nose and short-nose appearance, he didn’t just suggest raising it blindly, but looked very specifically at how it would be best to proceed in a way that suited my face. I also liked that the functional aspects were checked carefully through examinations. The nasal bridge was done without an implant, the nasal tip was done with autologous costal cartilage, and skin grafting was also included. For the functional side, I had correction of a deviated septum and inferior turbinate reduction together. What I feel the most after surgery is that my nasal congestion has definitely improved. Since breathing has become easier, my daily stress has decreased a lot, and cosmetically, the upturned nose has improved greatly, making my impression look much cleaner. People around me also tend to say my impression has improved. I started because of the functional issues, but in the end, it was a case where I also gained cosmetic satisfaction, so personally I think it was a good choice.
