Would you believe this is 3 weeks after revision surgery? I had my first rhinoplasty at Hospital A using ear cartilage, with no silicone. I was satisfied with the side profile, but from the front, the columella looked short, the nasal tip looked pointy, and my nose had become much lower than at first, so I had revision surgery at Hospital B 3 years later. Silicone and costal cartilage were used. The nasal tip dropped before even a month had passed. It gradually got lower, to the point that it looked worse than before I had any nose surgery. The nasal silicone also had a high starting point and looked too obvious, so overall it made my face look masculine. As soon as January 2 of this year came, at the 6-month mark, I had an AS revision surgery. Removal of the silicone, and additional use of the previously harvested costal cartilage that was inside my nose, plus the frozen cartilage. Before even a week had passed, I felt like the nasal tip was dropping again. Unlike before, it was not just getting lower, but my nose looked uneven and indented. Yesterday, at week 3, I had the stitches inside my nose removed and a follow-up. They said inflammation occurred, causing some of the cartilage to melt, and it seems the costal cartilage lost its support. I took my antibiotics diligently for a week and did not drink or smoke at all. Has anyone had a case like mine?? I’m so depressed.
