It’s now almost been a month since I had lower eyelid fat repositioning and lateral/lower canthoplasty, so I’m leaving a review. Honestly, in the beginning I had really a lot of bruising, and the swelling was much worse than I expected When I went to get the stitches removed, I was worried because it barely felt noticeably better, but around week 3, the bruising and most of the swelling went down quite a lot. Even up to week 2, there was still bruising. Compared with other people, I think my swelling was really severe, and although the swelling under my eyes has gone down now, it still seems to remain slightly. It’s hard to say it has fully settled yet, and the under-eye aegyo-sal still doesn’t show well. When my face is at rest, the tired-looking bulging under my eyes is gone compared with before, and when I smile, the fat bulging out has definitely decreased too. I think this will become a little more natural as more time passes, so I’m just watching the progress. Personally, I’m quite satisfied with the lateral/lower canthoplasty. It still feels slightly like it has stuck back together, but compared with before surgery, the outer corners of my eyes definitely lowered, and overall my eye shape feels a bit softer. It doesn’t look obviously “surgical”; it’s exactly the kind of subtle change where it looks like I did something but also didn’t, and I like that the most. With makeup, there’s almost no difference from before surgery, so that’s a little~ disappointing, but when I’m bare-faced, I can feel that my eye shape is softer than before, so I’m secretly satisfied by myself haha It’s only been one month, so it’s too early to call it complete, and I think more swelling still needs to go down, but so far the overall progress seems not bad. I did get very stressed at first because of the bruising and swelling, but I’m slowly watching the changes over the next few months, and I think I’ll be satisfied as long as the lateral/lower canthoplasty doesn’t stick back together any more than this!
