Since last month, I had been feeling subtle pain and tightness around my breasts and armpits, so I kept wondering whether I should go to the hospital or not. When I thought about it, it had already been almost 10 years since I had breast surgery. I figured it would be better to go somewhere that specializes in implant checkups rather than a general hospital, so after looking around, I went to The W Clinic near Sinsa Station last week. I chose it because they said they check the condition of implants more precisely using an AI program, as well as ultrasound and mammography. The test results showed that both implants had ruptured… I wasn’t in severe pain or anything, but they said it wasn’t just one side, both sides had ruptured.. They said the condition had already progressed to capsular invasion. Fortunately, it had not spread to the axillary lymph nodes, so they explained that I could consider complete capsulectomy or revision surgery. Since I have to decide between revision surgery and removal, I’m getting pretty worried. They said complete removal of the capsule is possible through an axillary incision, so I also liked that the scar burden seemed relatively low. Since I have to have surgery again, I looked into other hospitals too, and when I researched Director Kim Jae-hong more, he had many papers related to breast surgery, 20 years of experience, and good satisfaction ratings in reviews, so that did make me feel more at ease. For those who are considering hospitals for implant checkups, removal, or revision surgery after breast surgery, I’m sharing this because The W seems good. And if you know a director who is good at removal and revision surgery, please recommend them too.
