I got double eyelid surgery in my second year of middle school because my eyes were so small and narrow. The first time was non-incisional, and the second time was incisional. Maybe because of the flesh around my eyes, the non-incisional crease became way too low, so I ended up getting it redone. What did people say when they saw my eyes? “Are you sleeping? Or are you crying?” That was what I heard. That’s how downturned and small my eyes were. I don’t regret getting double eyelid surgery, but I do have some regrets about certain things. First of all, I had two side effects? The first was that I got epicanthoplasty without knowing anything, and I feel like it made me look a bit older and gave me that overdone plastic-surgery look. And second, they said the sutures were absorbable, but they didn’t dissolve. When I went to the clinic and told them, they asked if I was sure it had been done at their clinic..! Ha… In the end, I didn’t have the sutures removed; they just cut off the part of the thread sticking out on the surface. I was young, so I just went to the place my parents chose, but I hope you all really look into it carefully before going.
