First surgery -> buried-suture revision -> buried-suture + ptosis correction second revision -> incisional + ptosis correction I never thought I’d have eye surgery three times in my life, but that’s how it ended up.. The eyes I first had done with the buried-suture method came undone, so I had another revision with the buried-suture method, and they said my eye-opening strength was weak, so I had ptosis correction done together too. But as time passed, I couldn’t really tell if the ptosis correction had worked, and the line wasn’t holding properly, so it felt like it was about to come undone again lol It was stressful that it kept coming undone, so for my final surgery I ended up getting the incisional method. It wasn’t even just a revision, it was my third surgery, so choosing a clinic was even harder and really stressful, but I looked through tons of reviews to see whether they had a lot of experience with eye revision surgery and whether they could make a natural-looking line even with the incisional method lol The reason I had chosen the buried-suture method again for my revision even though it had already come undone once was because I didn’t want scarring or a line that looked too obvious if I had the incisional method. But since it kept coming undone and the ptosis correction wasn’t improving things either, I felt like I really couldn’t do a non-incisional method anymore... Since from the time I was looking into clinics, I already had in mind that I would redo the incision and ptosis correction, after going around for consultations, when deciding on a clinic, it wasn’t hard to decide on the surgical method or things like that, and I had the surgery at the place where I liked most that they examined me carefully, didn’t overtreat, and designed the line well. Writing down the swelling and bruising after surgery as far as I remember: -Day of surgery It was uncomfortable to open my eyes because of swelling, but I didn’t feel any pain or anything like that -3 days after surgery When the swelling + bruising were at their peak -1 week The major swelling started to go down and the bruising turned yellow -Week 2 The major swelling had gone down quite a bit, and the bruising had become really faint, to the point it wasn’t burdensome -1 month All the major swelling was gone, with a little residual swelling left. It looked much more natural Since it was my third surgery and it was incisional, I thought the swelling would last longer and be worse, but for me it wasn’t that bad. Since it was done by incision, I definitely feel like the eye line was fixed more clearly, so I like it, and especially because I feel like I escaped sleepy-looking eyes through ptosis correction, this was seriously the decisive move…? lol Maybe it’s because it hasn’t been that long since surgery yet, but when I close my eyes, the line does feel more noticeable than when I had the buried-suture method. Still, there’s no scar, and it’s more natural than I expected, so I do like it lol If anyone is debating between incisional and non-incisional methods, I hope you think carefully and don’t end up coming all the way to a second revision like me....
