Breast reduction review

Breast condition before surgery: no sagging, slightly wide-set D cup, large areola size, severe asymmetry After surgery: about a B cup, areola size reduced, asymmetry improved My breasts suddenly got big in my early 20s, you know? I don’t know if it was because in high school I exercised intensely and wore very compressive sports bras almost every day, but anyway, after I became an adult I only wore super comfortable bralettes, and maybe because they finally had room, they grew by more than one cup. As my breasts got bigger, I really hated how red creases formed along the inframammary fold, and I hated sweating there too. I like exercising, but whenever my breasts bounced, I subtly became conscious of people’s gazes and shrank in on myself. I also had areolar deformation because of nipple eczema when I was young, and as my breasts swelled, the skin stretched too, so I really hated that the areola stretched with it. My breasts weren’t a soft, fatty type either; they were completely dense breasts, so even when I lost weight, only my breasts didn’t shrink, and that was seriously so stressful. It also didn’t match the style I pursue at all, so that’s why I decided. But reduction isn’t covered by insurance.. You basically have to be around a K cup, enough to be diagnosed as straining your shoulders and back, get a medical certificate, and file an insurance claim, and even then it may or may not be covered. So I just gave up on the financial aspect and went around from university hospitals to private plastic surgery clinics, but they didn’t want to do it. They were like, “Your breasts are too nice and pretty right now, and they aren’t that huge, so why do it?” lol It’s my body and I want to change it, but plastic surgeons who redo eyes, noses, mouths, and even shave jaws are especially conservative only about breasts. They even asked if I was transgender lol When a woman says her breasts are uncomfortable and she wants to reduce them a bit, I feel like you hear all kinds of things haha The surgery was done under general anesthesia, and they did say it would be difficult because I really have dense breasts. But the doctor said reduction isn’t as dangerous a surgery as everyone says. The variable is that if, after opening the breast, the tissue is too dense, in cases like that, removing a lot can be risky (my case). Maybe because of that, they told me I had bleeding during surgery too. I asked for about an AA cup, but because it was done with a minimal-incision method, not that much was removed. So every time I went for follow-up, I was a bit annoyed lol I wondered, couldn’t they have reduced it a little more? Did they intentionally reduce less? But now I’m satisfied. Since they couldn’t reduce more because there was bleeding during surgery, it couldn’t be helped, and I’m grateful there were no side effects. I also asked why they removed different weights from each side, and I didn’t get an exact answer, but anyway, they disclosed everything about these parts without hiding anything and did regular checkups too (of course). In the end, the breast shape and areola shape came out symmetrical and nice, and I like them, so I just think it turned out well! Once the swelling went down, I could feel that they had gotten smaller, so even if I went back, I’d definitely do it again. Even though I’m a bit disappointed with the size, I’m satisfied with the shape and scars. Looking at cases abroad, they reduce them refreshingly and dramatically, but maybe because they don’t have as many dense breasts compared with Asians, liposuction alone seems relatively dramatic too. Maybe that’s why most of the people getting reductions have more body fat. Writing this out, it may look like I have a lot of dissatisfaction, but I am the type with somewhat picky and sensitive aesthetic standards. Before surgery, I only wore sports bras and mostly wore oversized fits, so no one knows I had a reduction, but the sense of liberation is truly different. Looking down from above and seeing that my breasts don’t completely cover my ribs feels so good lol I think clothes look better too, and it suits my body type better. Honestly, when I look at old photos now, it’s strange how much my current breasts fit my frame perfectly. If you’re going to get plastic surgery, I really think it’s right to improve the part that can satisfy you. And I wish insurance would cover it. It cost almost ten million won. One downside is that after surgery, the breast tissue clumps a bit more. I went for a health checkup and had a breast ultrasound, and the doctor looked at the monitor for an unusually long time, like, wow, there’s someone with breasts this dense, fascinating lol But even taking that into account, I think I did really well. I’m not going to breastfeed, and I just need to get checked regularly But choose your hospital carefully. Breast surgery isn’t covered by insurance, and prices are basically whatever they ask, so some places will say they’ll do anything and that it’s possible just for the money. Search and narrow down hospitals for breast reduction, visit them, go to a breast surgery clinic and consult about wanting reduction, get an ultrasound too, and definitely go to a university hospital plastic surgery department as well. I was so desperate that I even went to a hospital specializing in male gynecomastia lol If there’s anyone with the same concern as me, I hope my post helps!
