Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

2-month review of 3-type facial contouring (+photos)

I had it done on November 7, so this is a review after about two months? A little over two months.. Since last year, I’ve kept posting about why I wanted surgery / visiting clinics for consultations, why I decided, the style I wanted, my beauty goals / 2-week review, and 1-month review (I think you can see them if you go into my ID..?) I’ll keep this short!! I hope this helps even a little for everyone considering surgery, and DMs are welcome too!! haha

Surgical areas? = Chin tip advanced 4 mm + cheekbone repositioning + square jaw surgery

If I could go back to before surgery? = When consulting and designing with the director, clearly (this is really so important) appeal and say what I want. Go in knowing 100% what I want.

What was most important after surgery? = Rest, rest, and rest. Taking Newvein from day 5, walking at least 2 hours each time. For the first 5 days, just absolutely rest + even if it’s uncomfortable, keep it fixed with the compression bandage.

Most uncomfortable thing after two months? = I can’t open my mouth 100% like before surgery; now it opens about 70%. Foods like sandwiches are uncomfortable, and meat, apples, squid? things like that still take effort.

Facial massage, meridian massage XXX. If I press hard, it still hurts a bit.

Swelling? = Almost none. A feeling like a thin rubber band pulling at the tip of the chin? The chin tip is slightly harder than other areas. When I smile really widely, there’s a slight pulling feeling in the cheekbones.

Talking, smiling? = No problem talking or smiling, and when I smile, my dimples show again. I have to really frown a lot to feel stiffness around the cheekbones.

Exercise? = I started light running again from 2 weeks ago. I can’t run fast because of the impact. I do jogging and weight training.

Unexpected plus? = Nasolabial folds (I never once talked about them with the director, they didn’t bother me either, and I just thought, “I have nasolabial folds,” but (I’m not an expert so I’m not sure) the nasolabial folds disappeared, and my cheeks and around my mouth feel a bit filled in. It’s unexpected, but personally I’m so satisfied with this. It could still be residual swelling.. Personally, I think I’d be satisfied even if it doesn’t go down more from here, but honestly I can see it getting slimmer little by little (week by week).

What I’m satisfied with? = I’m most satisfied with my front-facing face, and now I like that I don’t worry about tucking my hair behind my ears. I asked the director to make it as natural as possible and not pointy, and I’m satisfied with this level. I like that the blunt-looking lower face has been resolved.

The before photo was taken on the morning of surgery day, and the after photo was taken after showering with an iPhone camera with as little editing as possible. I hope this helps! Thank you for reading!!
