I’ve had really severe dark circles since I was young, and when I smiled or put tension under my eyes, it would bulge out noticeably, so I had under-eye fat repositioning + fat grafting surgery at a clinic in Sinsa. During the consultation, both the consultant and the doctor were kind, but the doctor seemed a little busy. Looking at everyone’s reviews, the swelling didn’t seem that bad, but I was surprised because my swelling was much worse than expected. Days 1-2: my eyes, nose, nasal bridge, and cheekbones were all swollen. Days 3-4: the swelling in my nose and nasal bridge started going down little by little. Days 5-6: the bruising generally turned yellow. Days 7-9: the severe swelling went down, but there was redness under my eyes. I went in for my 10-day follow-up, and since there was redness and the clinic seemed to think I was more swollen than expected, I got an antibiotic injection and was prescribed medication. (I had to leave overseas soon, so I think the doctor recommended it with extra caution.) I’m currently on day 15. The swelling has gone down a lot, but there is still redness, so I’m a bit worried. Still, when I smile, the area under my eyes is flatter, so I’m fairly satisfied. I think I’ll need to keep watching it until at least the one-month mark.
