Everyone, before getting nose surgery, know what your own style is

Hi, well, this is a very ordinary nose surgery review, but I’m uploading this review because I posted all my nose photos and have something I want to say to everyone. People planning nose surgery will probably fall into two groups: 1. The “use as little material as possible and make it natural” type 2. The “if I’m doing it anyway, I want it high and glamorous” type. Among these, I was in the second camp. Originally, people around me kept saying nose surgery should really be done as minimally as possible, just shave down the hump, you already have a bit of a bridge, aren’t you being too greedy? I lived hearing things like that, you know? But no matter how I thought about it, if I was only going to shave the hump, why would I pay that money for surgery.. and go through the same recovery period.. I thought about it, and since I usually like flashy styles when choosing clothes, earrings, and necklaces, I felt I would be dissatisfied if I did it naturally, and if I was doing it, I wanted to properly raise it. But then I felt another barrier when choosing a clinic lol. There were places where our tastes didn’t match and they said things like, why are you even trying to do it? Just shave the hump. It’s not that those places were wrong, but looking at their reviews, I could tell that they really do surgery naturally and that’s why they speak that way. So I looked around clinics that do glamorous nose surgery, and then I had a consultation at LBL and ended up having surgery there. Here, the director doesn’t just raise the nose blindly, but considers the line all the way to the nasal tip most important while smoothing the nasal bridge. And it wasn’t just about raising the nose and calling it done; they said harmony with the facial features also has to be considered, and they drew while designing my nose. Personally, that helped a lot, and it was easy to understand, so I think it made it easier to decide on the clinic. For nose materials, I used silicone and autologous costal cartilage. My nasal bridge was already high, but because silicone had to be inserted together while raising the nasal tip, I needed firm support, so costal cartilage had to be used. But since I was getting it with the mindset that.. my first surgery would be my last, I felt it was better to use my own costal cartilage rather than someone else’s rib, so I chose autologous costal cartilage!! But keep in mind that 90% of the nose material choice is your own decision!! The remaining 10% can be decided after listening to the director’s advice lol. It’s already been close to half a year since surgery, so the early period when my lips were extremely dry and I was thirsty has been glamorized and I don’t even remember it well.. ^^ I just remember being surprised when the splint came off, thinking there could be this little swelling and bruising. After taking those photos, I bragged to all my friends and hoped it would settle quickly from there. Friends who had told me before surgery not to be too greedy watched my nose settle through the whole process and ended up saying my choice was right. And through friends of friends, I also heard things like where did you get it done and how much did you pay lol. Around 3 months later, even the residual swelling had gone down to some extent, so now I’m living thinking, this nose is my nose~ When I was seriously researching nose surgery, I felt this too, but aside from people who get revision surgery because of contracture or side effects, there are also many people who do it because they’re dissatisfied with the design.. So before nose surgery, I think checking what your own style is and whether the clinic you’re getting surgery at pursues a natural or glamorous style is the shortcut to not suffering later because of the nose design lol.
