My nose tip was naturally short, and on top of that it was blunt, so the overall balance of my nose was really bad. It was not for nothing that different surgeons kept saying it was a hard nose to improve ^^;; Honestly, I was worried they might refuse the surgery, but that did not happen. They mainly said I should compromise a bit on aesthetics, which made me go, huh? I had gone there because I was recommended as a place that was good at this type of nose. After going to several places and giving up on some, this one ended up being the best pick. At my first meeting with Director Jeong Woo-jin, I said I wanted to use autologous costal cartilage, did not want a pointy nose, and that overall harmony was important, and we started from there... The director smiled and showed me, on a pad, a nose shape that would suit me perfectly. He drew very well. He said he would make it not too pointy, but also not overly rounded, a classic straight-bridge nose... I asked him to make it exactly like that, and he really did it exactly that way I had heard that donated rib cartilage has a high resorption rate, and the people around me who actually had donor rib cartilage surgery all ended up sagging a bit over time, with many needing revision surgery, so that is why I chose autologous costal cartilage. Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery! The area where they took the autologous costal cartilage hurts a bit, but it was not so bad that I could not tolerate it so I am happy with the pretty straight-bridge nose I got~ I am still watching the overall balance!
