3 Days After Cheekbone and Jaw Surgery~ ^^

I used to only lurk in this community every day, but I’m finally leaving an official post. My post-op appearance is still a bit unfortunate, so I’ll ask the hospital to remove the bandage and help compare photos. I’ll upload photos only after that~ First, I had surgery on Friday the 9th at 9 a.m. I had only been thinking about it for years, then starting about 3 months ago I got consultations here and there whenever I had time. I think I went to almost 10 places. Then about a month and a half passed in a blur while I was saving money, and I suddenly scheduled the date on the evening of the 6th, got tests on the 7th, and had surgery on the morning of the 9th. Once I actually started moving things forward, it all happened in an instant. ^^ After setting the date, I had trouble sleeping at night, but the day before, I was so tired that I don’t think I even had time to be nervous. Since the surgery was at 9 in the morning, I just washed my face as soon as I woke up and rushed over. I think it was better that everything was just hectic. For those having surgery, do it early in the morning~ Really, just like the reviews in this community said, as soon as I lay down on the operating table, they said this and that, and the anesthesiologist asked my weight, and with the words that anesthesia would start now, my mind suddenly became hazy, and I think I closed my eyes in about 2 seconds. Then when I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room. As soon as it was over, I touched my jaw, and even with the bandage wrapped tightly around it, I could feel that my jaw had disappeared. lololol From reading reviews, I saw so many posts saying the sore throat was painful, so that was what I worried about most, because my throat originally hurts often. So before surgery, I asked the director and the anesthesiologist in advance to please pay attention because my throat often hurts. Maybe because of that, surprisingly, unlike other people, I didn’t have lots of phlegm, throat swelling, stinging, or anything like that. It was just the same as usual. On the first day, the smell of anesthetic gas just came up a bit, so I felt slightly nauseated, and I was hungry, so I ate almost all the pumpkin porridge they gave me. lol The mouthwash you use after eating that is nauseating. So on the first day, I threw up twice right after gargling. By evening, it ached a little, but with ice packs it was tolerable enough. Oh! The doctor said being young is still good, because if you’re older it takes longer to wake up from anesthesia, and even after waking up people can’t move around well, but I woke up from anesthesia really fast and was recovering quickly, so I felt completely relieved~ If you’re really going to do it, I think it’s good to do it even one year younger. At night, while using ice packs, I was tired again, woke up once or twice, and slept fairly well. lololol Oh, and one uncomfortable thing is that I keep sleeping sitting up. Can’t I sleep lying down now??? I don’t know, so I’m doing this I’m the type who bruises really easily. In the past, even after getting my wisdom tooth removed, the bruise lasted 3 weeks. Before surgery, I told the doctor about this too, and the bruising wasn’t as bad as I expected. I thought I’d get some dark bruising. But it’s just a slight pale purple bruise on one cheek and under the eye, lol I should be diligent with ice packs and gargling, but it’s annoying. Oh, right now, rather than any particular pain, it feels like my head is breathing? It’s a little hard to explain, but it feels a bit like when you’re nervous and your head is pounding. My body is fine, and my stomach is churning because it’s hungry, but it’s hard that I can’t eat well. I’m only eating things like porridge, yogurt, and juice. lol Last night, I even walked around a fairly busy college-area district in the evening. lololol Wearing a bandage, a mask, and a hat. My body is fine, but staying only at home is so boring. lol Tomorrow I’ll go to the hospital to have the bandage removed, then leave another review~~ If you message me, I’ll give you information as much as I know~ ^^
