I had rhinoplasty once 2 years ago, but I didn’t like the line, and the nostrils were slightly asymmetrical, which at some point started bothering me more than I expected. Once I started paying attention to it, every time I looked in the mirror I could only see my nostrils, and even when I met people, I felt like they were only looking at my nostrils. I kept wearing masks all the time, and eventually decided I couldn’t live like this, so I made up my mind to have revision surgery and started looking for hospitals like crazy.
When I had my first rhinoplasty, I went to about 3 consultations, but this time, with the thought that this absolutely had to be my last surgery, I went to a total of 6 places..
I went around for consultations over two days, and it was really, really exhausting... Anyway, I also have rhinitis, so this time I wanted to get rid of the rhinitis at the same time as revision surgery. They said they would take a CT scan and check the nasal valve,
so I used autologous costal cartilage and had rhinitis surgery together. The rib cartilage harvesting was quick too, and the total surgery time didn’t take that long. Looking at the scar now, it’s not that noticeable.
When I had rhinitis, my left nostril would always get blocked, and even when lying down, breathing was uncomfortable, so I would toss and turn before falling asleep. But after surgery, breathing is incredibly comfortable. On YouTube, they said rhinitis surgery varies case by case, but fortunately, I think mine went well. And the best part is that my nostrils are no longer asymmetrical; the line is definitely better than before too.. It’s the nose I originally wanted, so I’m satisfied.
