After thinking it over for years, I decided to get rhinoplasty after having filler and a Hiko nose procedure!! I looked into hospitals and chose Another, and since I booked a consultation during the busy season, I waited about a month before getting the consultation. Through a CT scan, I found out that I basically had no nasal bridge at all and that my nose was tilted a lot to the right. To get the nose I wanted, silicone was essential, so after the consultation I thought about it for about a month, but now I wonder why I worried so much.. Since it was my first rhinoplasty, I wanted to avoid revision surgery, so I decided on surgery using autologous costal cartilage, and at the director’s recommendation, I even had fat grafting done!!! I didn’t have a clear idea of the nose I wanted; I just thought it would be nice to have a nasal bridge and for it to be higher, and that I wanted to become prettier naturally. So I only brought a few photos to the consultation, and during the pre-op consultation with the consultant, I was even asked why I had said so little lol... After surgery! After the surgery, I went home half-asleep, had dinner, wore an abdominal binder and walked around, and only about 2 hours after surgery did the pain start, so I took Tylenol and tried endlessly to fall asleep. After getting through the first day like that, I went to have the cotton removed from my nose. Until then, even moving around was hard, my head hurt so, so much, and because of the abdominal binder, even walking was difficult... From day 3, I swelled up like a pufferfish, so I drank pumpkin juice and made sure to go for walks no matter what? Yellow bruising came up along with the swelling, and even though I didn’t have eye surgery, my eyes were bruised too... I was surprised because they were so swollen it was hard to open my eyes. From days 3 to 5, the autologous costal cartilage area was more itchy from the wound healing than painful, so there were many times I almost scratched it unconsciously. Maybe because the surgery was done well, the autologous costal cartilage area really didn’t hurt. From day 4, I went out for walks and really got around well!!! Now it’s been one week since surgery. At the hospital, they removed the splint and took out the stitches. The feeling of the stitches being removed was so, so strange, and after the splint came off, I saw my nose line and I’m super, super satisfied!! The swelling and bruising are still there, so I think I’ll have to keep watching it, but my nose has lifted so naturally that it’s amazing, and I’m also slightly regretting, “I should have gone a bit more dramatic!!!” haha. For now, I’m glad they corrected my nose that was very crooked to the right, and I was really worried it might become an upturned nose, but it’s not even close to that, so I’m really happy. My nostrils seem slightly asymmetrical, but it’s not that noticeable, and I’m not the type to care about that, so I’m completely satisfied!!! When I look at it from a 45-degree angle, my nose is so pretty that I keep looking in the mirror..
