Facial Surgery Reviews

I finally got square jaw surgery..

After just thinking about it for several years, I finally had it done yesterday, the 16th.. Since I was going to end up doing it anyway after stressing so much and carrying this complex, I thought I should have just done it earlier, and that all that time had been wasted. The moment the doctor saw me, he said this: “Every day, pretty women with no real problems come in, so seeing someone who really needs surgery come in makes me happy... He said it would feel worthwhile to operate..;;” (I’m a man..) When I went to the clinic, I had a consultation with the doctor and then had surgery the same day right away;; Usually they tell you not to eat anything from the evening before surgery, right? There was none of that. After the consultation, I got an IV, and checking my blood pressure was the whole examination. Then I went straight into surgery. The doctor is a relative of someone my mother knows, and he was so certain, or rather... so full of confidence that I went ahead with it, but it was so different from the information I’d picked up online that I did feel a little anxious. The surgery was done through an intraoral incision. And because I had a lot of muscle, he also resected some of the outer muscle. But fortunately, the result itself is very good right now. After surgery I rested for a few hours and was discharged the same day with no major issues... The swelling was not as bad as I had expected either. I visited the clinic today, one day later, and they were surprised that there was so little swelling despite shaving off so much bone and resecting muscle too.. They did say it may be because I’m a physically healthy man compared with women.... I think there are two main difficult things after surgery.. Because I have to sleep lying straight on my back, my whole body feels stiff (especially my neck;) For someone like me who tosses and turns while sleeping, it’s enough to drive you crazy..; I can’t sleep; It’s uncomfortable... One night feels like a month. Also, many reviews usually say swelling and discomfort are the problem, and that there isn’t much pain, but there is quite a bit of pain at the surgical site..;; Even just extracting a wisdom tooth hurts all day on the day of the procedure, so it did seem strange to say shaving the jaw and resecting muscle wouldn’t hurt..;; If I take painkillers, it’s tolerable, though... Aside from that, it’s painful that I can’t freely eat what I want...;; The stuffiness from the compression bandage on the first day was also pretty hard.... (The day after surgery, they left the bandage as it was and removed something like a compression strap.) People say that because of postoperative swelling, the face looks bigger than before surgery, but maybe because I don’t have much swelling, or because my jaw was originally so large and angular and they cut off a lot, I don’t think it looks particularly bigger than before surgery. They say that after a week, daily life should be mostly possible, and after a month I can do exercise like weight training. Until then, I’ll have to somehow endure the discomfort.. For now, my jaw surgery area is still wrapped in a bandage, so I’m just curious myself how it has turned out;; Ah.. and I also learned for the first time that the surgery costs more because I’m male..; They said it’s because there’s more area that needs to be shaved off.. (I’m jealous of women..;)
