I was looking into my first nose surgery, and since it was my first time, I had no idea what was good or bad, or what suited me. Consultations were over in 5-10 minutes, and most hospitals only tried to show their good side. They all said it would improve and get better, so it was hard to tell them apart. At first, I was only going to visit 3 places for consultations and choose one of 2 among them, but one place turned out to be a hospital that uses things like MegaDerm without even mentioning it, and at another place, they said a different director, not the one in charge, would harvest the autologous costal cartilage. They never told me during the consultation, and I only heard it later from someone else, so I ruled it out. When I contacted the consultant and asked, it really was true that another doctor would harvest it. My nose is a bit difficult and tricky, and like anyone else, I want to succeed in one surgery without needing revision surgery. I felt like this wouldn’t work, so I researched online every day until 5-6 a.m. and went to 3 more consultations. At the second of those hospitals, I felt like “this is the one,” so I paid a reservation deposit. They said it was refundable until 7 days before and told me to feel comfortable going to other consultations too, so I went to one last place that had seemed okay. But at the hospital where I paid the deposit, there kept being things I wasn’t sure were right, like the fact that they do autologous costal cartilage under sedation anesthesia, that I couldn’t get in touch because the consultant was on vacation, that only this place said I could keep taking oral contraceptives regardless of surgery, and things like saying autologous costal cartilage is softer than donated rib cartilage and that a hump is cartilage, not bone. So I ended up canceling there too. In the end, I liked the very last place I consulted at the most, so I made a reservation there. I’m a pretty picky person, but I chose it because nothing about it went against any of my standards, and I’m having surgery next month! If a problem happens after putting in this much care, then I guess that can’t be helped But I believe that won’t happen! I couldn’t even work properly while researching online and visiting consultations, and I just kept looking at my phone, but I’ve done everything I can, so now I should wait for the surgery day with peace of mind! It will go well, but I really hope it goes well~~

I had a procedure where ear cartilage was crushed and injected with a syringe, but because of nasal tip cartilage protrusion, palpability, and a severe step-off, it looked like a hump nose. The clinic where I had my first surgery said they
