Nose Surgery Reviews

Review of a revision rhinoplasty at a well-known plastic surgery clinic

I had my first rhinoplasty 12 years ago, but a step-off started to appear on the bridge of my nose, so I decided to have revision surgery. For the nasal bridge, silicone was used, and for the nasal tip, my existing ear cartilage was reused, with additional autologous costal cartilage harvested and inserted. Since it was a revision surgery, the bruising on my nose was pretty severe, but after the splint was removed, about a week later? it all went away. Sometimes the inside of my nose aches, and I hope time passes quickly so this pain goes away too~ I was most worried about the scar from the autologous costal cartilage harvest, but the director took care with the incision and sutured it nicely, so the scar was not large. I’m diligently managing it with silicone gel sheets! The area where the autologous costal cartilage was harvested really didn’t hurt much, so if you’re hesitating because of the pain, I don’t think you need to worry. I told the director that I wanted it to look as natural as possible, and I think it turned out the way I wanted. I’m very satisfied with the line and height.
