Since high school, because of my crooked jaw and malocclusion, I used to cover my mouth even when smiling whenever friends teased me or mentioned it. After my week-5 appointment, I started post-surgical orthodontic treatment. The elastics are a little annoying, but compared with wearing the wafer, it is much more comfortable. Month 3 As many reviews say, from 3 months after double-jaw surgery, you can truly return to daily life. I am also happily spending my days now, doing everything I want to eat and everything I want to do! I recently took job application photos too, and they barely retouched the lower face area separately, so I was very satisfied and amazed! That made me feel the surgical effect very clearly, and once again I thought that I really made the right decision having double-jaw surgery. I also went to reserve forces training and began preparing for employment in earnest, so I was able to start my social life with confidence. Ah! I am going through the list of foods I wanted to eat after surgery one by one, and I am satisfied At the orthodontic department, the post-surgical orthodontic treatment is also progressing quickly, so they say my orthodontic treatment may finish within the year. I am counting down the days until my orthodontic treatment ends! Currently, I am 5 months after double-jaw surgery..!! Time really flies. These days, when I have a beer with friends and the topic of double-jaw surgery comes up, everyone tells me the surgery turned out so well, so I feel proud, and it feels worth all the hardship too! Now I feel like I have moved out of the immediate postoperative recovery period and entered a stable phase, so I am paying attention to self-care:) I have started working out again, and I am also getting laser hair removal. In the past, I would think roughly, “My face is asymmetrical anyway, so what’s the point,” and just let things slide, but now that my face shape has become prettier, I pay more attention and take better care of myself! I think double-jaw surgery became an opportunity not only to correct my appearance, but also to make me value myself more! Conclusion: Double-jaw surgery is a surgery that requires a major decision, but if you are someone like me whose confidence had dropped because of malocclusion, asymmetry, protruding mouth, or a crooked jaw, I think it is an option worth considering enough!! I have currently gained not only improvements in appearance and function, but also restored confidence, and at a point just before entering social life, I now have a more confident appearance.
