On July 24, I had functional nose surgery for a deviated septum and rhinitis. Cosmetically, I had 15-year-old silicone removed, the hump slightly shaved down, and my nasal tip done with ear cartilage. The first photo is right after the splint was removed on July 30. The second photo is exactly one month later, on August 30. But after the splint came off, when there was swelling, it just looked bulky. Exactly 1 month later, a lot of the swelling had gone down, and around the nostril wings and columella, there’s still some clumping of tissue? It’s still a bit firm, and the bridge only hurts slightly if I press the hump area. But the more the swelling goes down, the more the hump bone stands out The doctor and consultant say there may still be swelling and to wait at least 6 months, but I’m so stressed wondering if I need revision surgery... If anyone has had this experience or seen it around them, please answer. Is it because the swelling hasn’t fully gone down? Or did they not shave the hump enough?
