I wish I could turn back time, but since I can’t, I desperately need everyone’s advice. Because of one wrong decision, I had my first surgery 17 days ago using costal cartilage, and without silicone, I only had the nasal bridge rasped down. As a result of the surgery, the slight hump I had has been rasped flat, and because of the costal cartilage, my nose has become longer. I tried to just live like this, but I just can’t adjust, so even though I know it’s risky, I’m trying to remove it. The surgeon who operated on me also says removal itself is simple, but because there may be variables such as scar tissue, he can’t guarantee it will return to its original state. So he says he will have me sign a waiver and do the surgery. After the surgery, even if the nasal tip miraculously returns to how it was before, the sharply rasped nasal bridge will be the problem.. So I thought of two options. First, whether to simply remove only the costal cartilage. Second, at the same time as removing the costal cartilage, to place a thin silicone implant of about 1 mm to fill in the rasped nasal bridge. What should I do.. Please give me some advice..
