Review After Zygoma Reduction

I was stressed about my peanut-shaped face, so I was looking into getting filler in my cheeks, but it seemed like the issue was that my cheekbones protruded more than my cheeks, so I decided to have zygoma reduction surgery this May. It was my second visit to a plastic surgery clinic after getting double eyelid surgery at another hospital, and I liked that the consultation was much more detailed and kind than at the previous hospital. The teachers who helped with the overall guidance and CT scan were all so kind, and after I went in for the consultation, the consultant also answered my questions about my cheekbones and other areas one by one with great care, so I was very grateful. After surgery, On the day of surgery, because of the anesthesia, I kept feeling nauseous and vomiting, so that was a bit hard, and there was almost no pain from the cheekbones themselves. From the next day, once all the anesthetic had worn off, there was almost no surgical pain, and I think the difficult part was having to spit out nasal discharge and medication as phlegm. Even afterward, for about 1-2 weeks, the most uncomfortable thing was that a lot of water? nasal discharge kept coming out. From 2 weeks onward, the swelling went down quickly, and I don’t think there was any discomfort in daily life at all! After surgery... as the swelling went down and I recovered, the best change was that I could confidently tuck my hair behind my ears without covering my cheekbones haha.. I didn’t really feel it strongly myself, but people around me keep saying my face got smaller! I only had my cheekbones done, but I’ve heard a lot that my lower face or my whole face looks smaller, so I feel good.. haha From about 2 weeks onward, I didn’t even wear a mask and just wore makeup and lived feeling very satisfied, but when I visited the hospital for my 1-month follow-up, the doctor said there was still a lot of swelling left, so that was a bit surprising! I thought a lot had already gone down, so I’m looking forward to seeing how much smaller my face will get as the swelling gradually goes down more and completely resolves.

This is a surgical review focused on pursuing a glamorous look.
