Eye Surgery Considerations

Hwi community review

During my first surgery, I met a psychopathic doctor, had my nasal hump shaved severely, and had silicone inserted without consent, so it all showed through. My columella became necrotic, and after living a miserable real life, I had surgery to remove the silicone at Hwi Plastic Surgery after 1 year.

Before surgery, they confidently said it could become similar to my natural nose shape, so I trusted them and had the surgery.

Result: There was a step-off where the silicone was removed, and they didn’t immediately correct the crooked nasal cartilage, so my nose became crooked. They cut out the necrotic part of the columella, but whether because of a suturing problem, the columella became crooked and a step-off formed.

Follow-up: They said to watch the nose until 1 year, when all the swelling would be gone. When I went after 1 year, they said to keep watching it until 1 year and 6 months. I got an uneasy feeling that they were trying not to take responsibility. When I asked what measures could be taken after watching it longer, they said to lay silicone again. When I asked what about the crooked nasal cartilage, they said to try fat grafting for the part where it became crooked and had a step-off. (I knew from experience that fat grafting basically requires a second round and that engraftment is a big issue, so I thought, huh? Fat grafting?) They said my nasal cartilage was too thin, so it would be better not to touch it further. (Huh? Then am I supposed to live with this crooked, stepped nose?)

While going around to consultations at other hospitals, yesterday I ended up having surgery again at a hospital that analyzed my nose in detail. When I told the hospital that operated on me about the things Hwi Plastic Surgery had said, they said it seemed like they didn’t know what methods could be used to take action, and they had the same thought as me, that it felt like they didn’t want to take responsibility. The director who operated on me at the other hospital wondered why they hadn’t straightened the folded nasal cartilage. They also said the step-off in the nasal columella was severe. In other words, the surgery done at Hwi Plastic Surgery was a surgery where they just removed the silicone and didn’t touch the aesthetic shape at all. In conclusion, my experience having surgery at Hwi Plastic Surgery led me to conclude that the doctor only talked smoothly and had no skill. If you are getting nose surgery, please make sure to find a hospital with nasal CT and a skilled doctor. If you go without knowing that, you’ll have to have surgery again like me
