Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Review of Two-Jaw Surgery for Asymmetry

Whenever I went on trips or met friends and took photos, I was always very self-conscious about my face because of facial asymmetry. In the end, I stopped saving most of the photos, and when I realized that I was the only one missing from group photos where everyone was smiling, I sincerely decided to undergo two-jaw surgery. Actually, I had already visited several two-jaw surgery hospitals and had consultations. Among them, there was nowhere as kind and systematic in their explanations as the oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic haha Most of all, seeing so many real patient reviews of two-jaw surgery built my trust, and thanks to that, I decided to have surgery right away!! Days 1-3 after surgery During the hospital stay, it was better than I expected, but from day 4, the swelling suddenly increased and it was hard to breathe, so honestly it was very difficult. However, after passing day 7, the swelling gradually started to go down, so I could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Week 2 Most of the major swelling had gone down, and only a little remained around the sides of my nose and the philtrum. The sensation in my upper jaw had not fully returned yet, so when brushing my teeth, it felt like I could not distinguish between my teeth and gums, but I felt very reassured because I could see hope that it would recover over time! Week 3 Once almost all the swelling and bruising went down, it became so natural that it was hard to tell I had surgery! Because I have a job where I talk a lot, I often took out the wafer, but I felt like my jaw was trying to shift back, so I learned that I really must follow the doctor's instructions well..! Month 1 I returned to daily life without any trouble, and I was very satisfied because my jaw asymmetry was not visible even when taking photos! However, sometimes when I had a drink, small trouble spots would appear around the surgical area, so I thought it would be best to still refrain from drinking alcohol for now. Month 2 Now almost all the swelling has gone down, and except for hard foods, I can eat most things, so there is almost no discomfort. Most of all, I am happiest that facial asymmetry is barely visible when I take photos! Month 3 I was told to wear elastics while sleeping, but these days I am busy and keep forgetting I am realizing again that with two-jaw surgery, the surgery itself is important, but self-care afterward is also really important. Month 4 I can eat hard foods too, and now I am going about daily life with no discomfort at all. I am not sure whether I gained a little weight or whether my facial contour has become more refined from two-jaw surgery, but these days people around me often say that my face shape has become softer, which makes me happy. Month 5 I have gained confidence when taking photos, and I actually end up taking more of them. These days, I am also lightly doing mewing exercises. Now that nearly half a year has passed, I feel truly very satisfied with the two-jaw surgery I received from Director Shin Hee-jin at the oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic. Month 6 In the past, the corners of my mouth felt awkward when I smiled, but now I smile naturally, so I feel very proud. Through two-jaw surgery, my asymmetric face improved, and I was able to regain the confidence and satisfaction with my appearance that I had lost!!! If there are people who are considering surgery, I sincerely recommend that you have a consultation with Director Shin Hee-jin at the oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic at least once ~ ~
