It’s day 7 after full removal, and today I had the taping and stitches removed. Honestly, right now it looks like a third version of my nose.. From the top row in order: my original nose side/front / surgical nose side/front / removed nose side/front. The nasal tip and alar area still have that operated-nose feel. I don’t know if the columella will go back in like my original nose, but if it does and the nasal tip comes down a bit more, I think it’ll feel like my original nose. Honestly, I’m not expecting too much. I really want to talk everyone out of getting nose surgery.. My previous nose was pretty in its own way too. And the noses of people who say they’re getting nose surgery aren’t ugly either. They’re all pretty.. But when you actually have it, you don’t realize how precious it is. I’m never doing it again.. I guess cosmetic surgery just doesn’t suit me. First, the reason I removed it was that I paid for nose surgery, but if the shape I wanted didn’t come out perfectly, I started wondering whether I really needed to end up with an operated-looking nose. Even after revision surgery, the nose I wanted didn’t come out, the columella was crooked, I only enjoyed it at first, then it started looking not pretty again and artificial. And maybe because I had nose surgery myself, there’s that distinct feeling people have after rhinoplasty, and when I look, I can tell right away who had nose surgery, and I felt like I also looked artificial.. In the end, I think the look I pursue is natural beauty as it is. I don’t know why I shaved down the hump during revision surgery. These days, hump noses are trendy in China lol. Beauty really goes around and around, and it depends on how you see it. I talked a lot, but really, be very careful with your nose! I’m still on the easygoing side, and even if things go wrong, I’m the type to just go for it decisively, so I didn’t even shop around. Since I was so sick of the place that originally did my nose, I took a gamble and just asked them to remove everything completely. It absolutely had to go back to my original nose and be able to make a pig nose.. Honestly, I don’t know how the full removal was done, or whether it involved capsule tissue or whatever. I just asked them to remove everything. Anyway, be careful with nose surgery, and I think I’ll have to check the progress again at the one-month mark.
