Review of internal alar base incision

I had alar base reduction surgery through an internal alar incision under local anesthesia and sedation. They wake you up midway and show you in a mirror while checking how it looks once. They ask whether to reduce it more or not, but they said it seemed like I did not need to, so they proceeded with suturing as it was. They said the left and right lengths were originally different, so they excised 3 mm on the left and 4 mm on the right. I am satisfied with the surgery. I used to have a complex about my three-dimensional alar area, which looked like that of a Black person, but the nostril size itself has decreased. I tried alar Botox first, but it did not help. If I had to mention a downside, the scar is visible when I roll my lip inward and pull the philtrum downward. Of course, it is only visible from up close, but it is on the more visible side. Also, if you have nasal valve collapse due to the nasal septum, breathing through your nose may become more uncomfortable. That is the case for me. Overall, I am satisfied.

This is a surgery review pursuing a natural yet glamorous look.
