I had the surgery last year, but I’m posting this to get points They said double eyelid surgery is more like a procedure, and honestly, after getting double eyelid surgery, the pain was almost close to zero lol. Only the lateral canthoplasty felt a bit tight, maybe? In my case, I was reluctant to do a full incision, but my eyelids weren’t suitable for non-incisional buried sutures either.. So the director suggested doing a partial incision. I went in only knowing about natural adhesion, buried sutures, and incision, so partial incision was unfamiliar to me, but for people like me who feel buried sutures might come undone, but are also worried that incision might leave scars, it’s a good choice. Additionally, when I opened my eyes, a lot of my pupils were covered, and I had what people call sleepy-looking eyes, so I also had ptosis correction, along with epicanthoplasty, upper canthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty. But seriously, I’m not lying, the lateral canthoplasty felt tighter and bothered me more than the partial incision, and the double eyelid surgery itself really didn’t hurt, so even after the surgery ended, I had a silly thought like, did they separately anesthetize my eyelids? lol Oh, and since it was partial incision, the bruising and swelling last a bit longer than buried sutures, but of course recovery is faster than full incision. I started meeting acquaintances from 2 weeks, and from a little over 3 weeks, I could walk around with my face held up confidently, but bruising and swelling differ by person.. you only know accurately once you actually do it. I wear contacts often because of my vision, and aside from it being really inconvenient that I couldn’t wear them for a month, it was fine. I already had double eyelids originally, so I worried the lines might become uneven, but actually, my bare eyes were uneven before surgery, and after surgery they became symmetrical. Since I had canthoplasty overall, my eyes look much more opened up, so they look much bigger and clearer. And because it was partial incision, there’s also a sense of fixation that feels like it won’t come undone lol The downside is probably that once I did my eyes, I started wanting to do other areas too
