I had nose surgery (silicone, ear cartilage) last Monday. I had 4 mm silicone put in. I was deciding between 3 mm and 4 mm, and when they said 3 mm would be underwhelming, I was swayed and put in 4 mm. Since taking the tape off this Monday, I've been in a mental breakdown state until now. No matter how I look at it, even if the swelling goes down, there doesn't seem to be any sign that my nose will get lower. 4 mm means it was raised a lot, right. It's too high from the glabella, totally.... The moment the tape came off, my heart sank. I didn't even know a place like this existed, and while searching constantly because I was anxious, I found this community.. How good would it have been if I had known before doing it. School starts soon, and I absolutely can't go like this. They say if I'm going to lower the silicone or remove it, I have to have surgery within 2 weeks, so I'm going to the hospital tomorrow. Tomorrow will be day 11, but if I remove everything even though it hasn't been long since surgery, can contracture still occur? If I lower the silicone... I'm so worried about opening a nose again when it's only been 11 days. I really don't know what to do, and I feel lost.. Please help.
