4 and a half months after cheekbone surgery... will the separated area fuse..?

I had a 3D CT scan, and on one side, only half of it has fused, with partial nonunion. (This side... at least half is fused, and even the separated half seems to have a gap of about 2 mm, so I’m not too worried about it.) The problematic side has only fused at the fixation point, and above that it is separated... (On this side, the gap at the widest point seems to be about 3-4 mm.) The hospital says that gaps under 5 mm get filled with fibrous tissue, and that fibrous tissue ossifies and turns into bone after 2-3 years. So I’m... considering revision surgery. The side where half has fused doesn’t interfere with daily life, so it’s okay, but the side where only the fixation point has fused makes me anxious........ Has anyone had separated bone like mine that filled in with bone much later... I’m afraid of trusting only that statement and waiting a few years... and then the bone might resorb... So I don’t know what I should do now..... Since I don’t know whether it will resorb, should I have revision surgery, or since that degree of gap will fuse, is it better not to have an unnecessary surgery.. And for those who had surgery through the inside of the mouth and whose cheekbones fully fused... I’m sincerely jealous. Whether it’s an intraoral incision or scalp incision, I heard that because the cheekbone has a three-dimensional structure, it’s difficult to make everything fully adhere and fuse... (This came from someone trustworthy.. haha) For those who had an intraoral incision and everything fused completely... I envy you
