I had a very mild hump nose, and my nose drooped severely when I smiled, so I had the hump shaved down, silicone inserted, and the nasal tip lifted with ear cartilage. It has been 10 months now. Since after the 6-month mark, the cartilage has been moving around too much, and whenever I smile or open my mouth wide, it feels like the cartilage makes a click, click, click sound... I can feel it moving so much that since winter I went to the hospital and asked to have it removed, but at the time they said they couldn't schedule a date and told me to wait just 6 more months. So I waited and went back to the hospital, but the doctor is strongly trying to stop me. They said I absolutely must not remove it, and that the shape will become terribly disfigured. They said my nose will droop, the osteotomy area will become bumpy and flat, and I will suffer because of the shape, so I should just endure it and live with it. They said they can remove it if I want, but they absolutely cannot take responsibility for the appearance, and told me to think about it for one more month, so I just came out... Of course, even if it goes back 100% to my old nose, it was an unattractive nose anyway, and even if it goes back similarly, it is the same. Right now it is a pretty nose, but it is so uncomfortable in daily life that it is hard. I am not that scared of the bridge becoming lower, but they said the nasal tip will droop a lot, so I am worried. Is there anyone who had surgery for a nose shape similar to mine, and then had it removed afterward? I desperately need answers.
