I just had nose surgery, and the implant was changed. Please help

Huh??? You’re supposed to decide on the material before checking the condition. They even tell you in advance what additional material they might use if there isn’t enough material?? How can they just vaguely brush it off like that?

No, these days Gore-Tex isn’t even used much, and they must know people are reluctant about it, but they used it without consent? Are they insane?

[@이뻐져라이얍] They say Gore-Tex is used a lot these days, that I shouldn’t worry too much, and that there isn’t a problem right now, isn’t that so. They say the consent is covered because “implant” is written on the surgical consent form and that includes everything.

[@또금] Do you have a recording of the consultation?? Or maybe the doctor’s notes or consultation record saying they would use silicone?

[@이뻐져라이얍] It isn’t written precisely as silicone in the consultation record either; it’s just written as implant. But in the surgery memo, there is a note saying silicone will be inserted.

[@또금] Then it seems worth questioning them thoroughly..? I was told silicone before going in, so why are they saying I consented after they suddenly wrote Gore-Tex? Of course I thought implant = silicone because I only heard an explanation about silicone. If it included Gore-Tex, I wouldn’t have consented. If there was a possibility of using Gore-Tex during surgery, they should have explained it in advance.

With Gore-Tex, the problem isn’t so much using it, but removing it later. It sticks to everything here and there, so there are many places that won’t remove it.

I’m currently demanding a revision surgery once my nose recovers, but I’m wondering whether changing it to silicone is the right answer.

[@] I asked which hospital it was because I wanted to see whether it’s right to get silicone there again, or whether they know how to do it. Whether it’s blacklisted or not, at the very least you shouldn’t look only here; you should check other communities too.

[@] I posted countless times in other communities and apps too, and worried about it, but no one commented. This is the first place where people have shown interest and commented like this.

Since it was already revision surgery, you must have thought it over many times and chosen carefully. What is with a doctor who proceeds with surgery like that without any consideration for the patient? This is seriously absurd

Gore-Tex without consent.... Even though it wasn’t an emergency situation with no room for choice.., the doctor is *crazy..., ㅡㅡ Ah seriously.... Even among implants, there are many types, and that’s why you choose,... and discuss it... But putting it in however they want and then insisting as if it’s obvious...
