It’s a very old-fashioned method, but there’s something called dot peel. (This isn’t advertising; any dermatologist will know what it is) When TCA solution is applied to an applicator and filled into pitted acne scars, the solution dries, turns white, and new skin fills in... that kind of thing.
I had suffered from acne for 7 years, and my whole face was full of pitted scars. My nickname during school was Acne Demon! Actually, it sounds funny, but I lived thinking these scars were all traces of the time I had lived. So even if someone teased me, I would laugh it off. Then I got a boyfriend, and for the first time in broad daylight! we went out outdoors, and when my boyfriend looked at my face, he asked why my skin was so dirty. That was the first shock I had ever had in my life... Because of that, I started looking into various things, learned about dot peel, and happened to get the procedure. The areas that were white at first turned into scabs, and for about ten days the scabs kept falling off. After they all fell off, wow... the scars looked more visible I looked in the mirror and cried But after about 2 more weeks, the scars started to look reduced compared with before the procedure. So after that, I got 2 more sessions. Honestly, the scars didn’t completely disappear like in advertisements. Still, now when I go places, I don’t hear people say my skin is bad anymore.
I’m thinking of getting about two more sessions! I’m writing this in case I can share even a small bit of information with people stressed about pitted acne scars.
